WEC won’t slow down LMP2 cars if further speed tweaks needed
New series boss Frederic Lequein and Pierre Fillon, president of WEC promoter the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, have ruled out making further technical changes to the P2s after this weekend’s 2021 season opener at Spa.
Lequein, who has replaced Gerard Neveu as WEC chief executive officer for this year, said: ”LMP2 we will not touch: we will not reduce the performance of the LMP2s.”
